The Zell im Zillertal tourism area consists of 5 municipalities:
- Zell am Ziller
Experience the mountain summer in the idyllic resort Zell am Ziller, at an altitude of 580 m! With approx. 2000 inhabitants and a size of 2.4 km² Zell am Ziller is the heart of the Zillertal valley. A former gold mining center and now the main market town of the valley, Zell am Ziller is well developed for summer and winter sports.
Outdoor activities include walking, mountaineering, mountain biking, paragliding, swimming, etc. The 45.000 m² Freizeitpark Zell (Leisure Park) boasts 4 outdoor and 3 indoor tennis courts, an open air pool with two giant water slides, a modern sports bowling alley, an adventure playground, mini golf course, basket and street ball facilities, a beach volleyball court, a soccer field and a Restaurant-Café overlooking the surrounding mountains. A trip on the rollercoaster "Arena Coaster" or the "Arena Skyliner" guarantees an extra dose of fun!
Zell has a century old tradition of hospitality. In 1482 an envoy traveling from Italy to Salzburg recommended a good inn in Zell! Zell is also home to the oldest private brewery and in May it hosts Austria's oldest festival, the Gauder Fest taking place in the first week in May.
Whatever you do, one thing is certain – the magnificent mountain panorama of the Zillertal Arena will stay in your memory for a long long time!
- Zellberg
Zellberg has a population of 700 and comprises an area of 12 km².
The municipality is subdivided into the districts of Zellbergeben and Zellberg. Popular outings are the Josef-chapel, the Herz-Jesu-chapel and the Talbach Falls. Tip: Holzweg (wood trail)

- Rohrberg
Rohrberg has a population of 400 and comprises an area
of 10 km². Rosenalmbahn ski lift gives access to Zillertal Arena, the summer leisure Arena. Many quaint inns cater to the hungry and thirsty guest.
- Hainzenberg
Hainzenberg has a population of 600 and comprises an area of 21 km².
Of great interest are the gold show mine, the show dairy with it's small animal park and the "Maria Rast" pilgrimage church. Tip: Rundwanderweg Hainzenberg (Hainzenberg round trip trail)

- Gerlosberg
Gerlosberg has a population of 380 and comprises an area of 16 km². Especially worthwhile are the many old farmhouses along the hiking pathes and the stations of the Cross to the Gerlosberg chapel.
